4 Tips To Get Married In The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most popular sites for a destination wedding in Italy. It offers everything a couple wants for such a special and unique day. Who doesn't want a dreamy wedding surrounded by uncontaminated landscapes, while eating amazing food in a party atmosphere?

The logistic is one of the most complicated part of planning a wedding in the Amalfi Coast. If you are a DIY keep in mind the following tips :

Wedding In The Amalfi Coast Our Italian Fairytale

1. Consider airlines that have a direct flight to Napoli Capodichino airport: this is the closest airport to the Amalfi Coast. From there you will need to get a transportation to the Amalfi Coast area. You may rent a car, get a transfer to the Napoli Port and get a ferry from there or book a private transfer for you and your guests to reach your hotel or wedding venue.

2. Be sure your guests know how to move from Napoli to Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Capri or any other city where you will get married. Arranging their transfer from the airport to the Amalfi Coast is something you need to consider if you don't want them to get lost.

3. If you are looking for a civil wedding, keep in mind that the most of the wedding venues in the Amalfi Coast, and in Italy in general, can not host a civil celebration. They usually take place in the City Hall, but Cities Mayors have the power to allow civil weddings celebrations in specific historical sites or villas.

4.Consider a transfer from your civil or religious ceremony site to your wedding reception location: it is always important to plan it in advance, considering how complicated it might be for you and your guests walking from one site to another in the Amalfi Coast. Before signing any contract, consider where your wedding venue is located and if it would be easy to transport tables, and all of the decorations needed there. As mentioned, the logistic aspect is one of the most complex in the Amalfi Coast, due to its beautiful, but also complicated streets.

I am sure you and your guests will love a wedding in Positano, Amalfi or any other town in the Amalfi Coast. Just keep in mind these aspects when planning it and have a look at my other tips about getting married in Italy.
